Work on the new well is starting !!!
Agostino and the whole gang arrived at the village and immediately got to work. The sun sets early in Malawi, around 5:30 pm. Maybe they will continue in the dark.
Let’s cross our fingers and hope we have good news!

Work continues.
This well in particular was built thanks to the help of all the people who came to the San Donato Milanese Photographic Circle last October to have a portrait taken. I wanted to thank all of them and let them know that thanks to their generosity we can do this.
This well is built in memory of Lorenzo, a friend of the photographic club who left us less than a year ago.

The sun has set and we still haven’t found water.
Soil filled with rock, excavation up to 60 meters and only damp earth.
We stopped. In the dark you could not go on.
Tomorrow we leave and we will see if the damp earth is a warning of water or if we will have to move for a new attempt.
