While the work continued, I went to see where, up to now, the people of the village were getting supplies: three small holes dug near a small almost dry stream a few hundred meters from the village. The well will change his life.
And the water comes! The proven method works and in about 5 hours women and children can celebrate like only they can.
In the afternoon, not having enough diesel for a new excavation, we decide to go to Amonisute. For those who follow the Pozzo dei Desideri for a few years, it is the village where in 2017 we lost four days to carry out an excavation without unfortunately finally finding water. It was a great disappointment. It is a village to which I am very linked and we went back because we learned that there is an old disused well just nearby, surrounded by brushwood. We went to check and tomorrow’s goal is to try to fix this well that has been blocked for about 30 years. It will not be simple but an attempt is worth doing. We already have some ideas. And also in plan B.
