5th June 2019

Also this year I am finally leaving for Malawi. Tomorrow. It is my sixth journey and, as always, I am looking forward to it.

The emotion, anxiety and fear that all the work done during the year does not produce the desired results is a travel companion in these hours before departure.
Whether you have helped this year or in previous years, know that it is also thanks to you that this project is continuing to live and grow. Starting from the first aid in January 2015 until the last of the other day.
This year has been an incredible year for the results obtained from the fundraising (more than 22,500 euros collected only this year !!!) and the credit also goes to the many people who helped me to make the project known thanks to the many events I attended.

This year alone I will have met more than 500 people who helped the project, an incredible number.

In the temporal order of appearance and hoping not to forget anyone, I want to thank:

– The La Permanente Museum in Milan which exhibited a photo of the project
– Alberto Prina, Roberto Menardo and Francesco Bondioli for selecting the project for the Festival of Ethical Photography in Lodi Museum of printing and art printing in Lodi
– The Sommaruga Library for having exhibited the photo book on its shelves
– Padel Club Limena and the Vamos girls for the charity tournament
– The former everis Italia colleagues who raised funds
– My company, Atos Italia, who chose the Pozzo photo book dei Desideri as a Christmas present for his clients
– The doctors of the San Raffaele Milano Hospital who, in addition to taking care of me, took an interest and helped the project
– Famideal, VITA non profit and Paolo Iabichino for their interviews
– alCubo – House of Associations, the FIAB of Casalpusterlengo and Casa delle Arti – Spazio Alda Merini for hospitality in the evenings of meeting with the public
– San Donato Milanese Photo Club, Alessandro Tintori, Laura Fabris and many others for the Shamiri evening and the day of the photographic portraits
– The USD Gianesini for celebrating their 70th birthday together with the Well of Desires
– All Teaming members and BuonaCausa.org
– All those who have bought the photo book

As the saying goes … from now on the chatter is zero and we have to work! I cross my fingers and I hope that the unforeseen events are much less than in previous years and to build all the planned wells.
To date, the project has built 17 wells for a total of 9,000 people who can now drink clean water. Needless to say, the minimum goal, with this year’s trip, is to overcome the 10,000 people wall … and beyond!

Connection and electricity permitting, I will update the facebook page with the daily progress of the works.

Thanks again to everyone!
