THE SETTEBELLO! Since we’re always talking about water, I can borrow their nickname from our national water polo team for the seven wells that are now pumping water from the land of Malawi. And yes, today the seventh well has also been built and one thing I can certainly say: mission accomplished! Since this morning also in the village of Odilo, in the district of Toleza, the approximately 50 families who live there have a well with clean water. The excavations went off very quickly, already in the early morning we found water and before midday the well was ready to be built. Now just do the masonry and mount the pumps and by Friday everything should be ready for the inauguration. We took a lot of weight off our stomachs, the unexpected is always around the corner and today was the last useful attempt to complete the Settebello before leaving. With this lightness on us, in the early afternoon we allowed ourselves an hour of rest after these hectic days, under the scorching sun and with the tiredness that has accumulated significantly. After the nap, a jump to Kankao to bring Camilla’s dad’s medicines to the orphanage and then end of the day in Balaka where the journalist came to take us to the bar, in preview, the copy of the newspaper that will be released on Friday with our article ! Wow! Useless to say that the only things I understood about the article are Agostino’s name and mine, as well as the Pozzo dei Desideri. But there are already those who have had the task of translating the article into Italian by Friday…
On the other hand there is our photo that speaks for itself.
With an uplifted soul for having done everything… goodnight #malawi
