What a beautiful day! Today the inauguration party of the two wells of Il Pozzo dei Desideri was scheduled and it was a real party.
Everything was prepared in a workmanlike manner and the very warm welcome complete with the construction of a pergola for us to eat with them.
The women sang and danced, the children helped us for a souvenir photo that will remain indelible!
As well as the well of Jiya which will remain forever dedicated to those who left us suddenly and too soon.
When we were now greeting everyone, the most unexpected gift arrived, a chicken and a hen that were personally delivered to me. To me, a vegetarian … jokes of fate ??.
It was a really emotional moment.
Both gifts will be the first two “inhabitants” of the chicken coop that Agostino is going to build inside the Toleza kindergarten which he manages directly.
I say the first two because 50 hens will be added to these which Il Pozzo Dei Desideri will finance thanks to the money saved from the negotiation for the wells.
So, once again, thanks to all of you who contributed to this small project.
I believe that Agostino’s is a good initiative that I felt I was sponsoring especially after spending a week living next to Agostino and that will guarantee one to two eggs per week to the over 200 children attending Agostino’s kindergarten.
Again I will provide you with more details and testimonials in the coming weeks, once the kindergarten works are finished.
I take this opportunity to thank Agostino and Kamamba, without whom the enormous difficulties encountered this week would have been insurmountable. Thanks Agostino and Kamamba, you have been unique!
