After yesterday’s exciting day, unfortunately we cannot celebrate today as we would have liked.
The signs of a bad day have been seen since the morning when the team of guys working on the drill showed up at the second village with the consequencs of what must have been an epic hangover …. see what happens to give them 10 euros tip for finding water yesterday? I knew that they pulled until 4 in the morning, with an alarm clock at 5. I only tell you that at some point their boss stopped them in the middle of the morning for half an hour otherwise someone would get hurt!
The work then continued slowly also because around noon we realized that someone had stolen the diesel from the tank of the truck that we had filled up on the first day … then off to take 100 liters with the tanks and other lost time.
Anyway, moral of the story, we also reached 60 meters today and we saw little water and only towards the end.
We left everything there because it was late, only in the morning we will see if the aquifer is sufficient or not to guarantee the water. If it isn’t, we will have to start again and dig a further hole.
We hope well because time is running out!
